Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence, The Last Emperor and The Sheltering Sky are some of his more famous film scores, and more recently there were the scores to The Revenant and Minamata.

Don't die, thread. :(

I recently had an out of the blue thought about "From Hell," the 2001 Johnny Depp-lead Jack the Ripper movie based on the graphic novel and decided to check out the score for it and found it to be pretty decent. It's done by Trevor Jones and while it's not particularly remarkable it has some neat touches to it and overall serves as nice background with some gothic horror vibes.
