One of the soundtracks I keep going back to is Clint Mansell's "Moon" soundtrack.

I had the soundtrack before even seeing the movie, it just sounds fantastic, and worked incredibly well with the movie.

It seems the full soundtrack is on Youtube.

I can't remember anything about the music in The Black Swan though.

I didn't care much for the Black Swan soundtrack. Had I bought it as a "Mansell does "Swan Lake", rather than expecting a purely original soundtrack, I may have a different opinion. Of all the Mansell soundtracks I have, it's the one that gets the least plays.

Cross posting from the "poo poo you just bought thread"

It's quite good. I listen to a lot of instrumental soundtracks at work, so this is a nice fresh one. I'm waiting for the Leftovers soundtrack to come out (I like the piano) as well as the Gone Girl soundtrack, as I've loved the 2 previous collaborations with Atticus Ross and Reznor (The Social Network and Girl with a Dragon Tattoo), as well as Ross' own work on the Book of Eli.

Martinez also did the instrumentals for "Drive" but in my opinion, this sounds better.

NPR is streaming the Gone Girl Soundtrack.

It's much more along the lines of Girl with a Dragon Tattoo than the Social Network, but I'll still definitely be picking it up when it comes out.

John Carpenter is putting out an album called "Lost Themes". You can listen to the first track here.

It's definitely close to his other soundtracks but that's a good thing.

I've been listening to Max Richter's "The Leftovers" soundtrack today.

It's quiet, but quite good.

The first track is pretty different from the rest of the album. The second track is probably the most commonly played song from the previews.

Have some Chemical Brothers. I really liked this movie and its music.

That's a great soundtrack.

I just picked up John Carpenter's Lost Themes II. It's much like the first, in that it's like a greatest hits of 80's movie themes from an alternate dimension.

The season finale of Game of Thrones sounded a lot like Phillip Glass music.

They released the Westworld soundtrack, by Ramin Djawadi, it's streaming on Spotify if anyone's interested.

I probably wouldn't be nearly as interested if not for the piano covers of Paint it Black and Black Hole Sun, but it's pretty good.

It's tv, but anyone who watched Legion and dug those trippy covers they did should listen to the album "It's Always Blue: Songs from Legion". It's on Spotify.

It's really good, and I quite like their cover of White Room by Cream.

I am digging the poo poo out of the Watchmen score.

I don't really want to spend $75 on it, but I probably will.

Sorry for the double post, but the first album is streaming on Spotify. It's pretty loving great if you like their previous scores.
