For the person asking about Florida hiking, the backcountry trails in the Everglades are basically empty of other people. The scenery is kind of same for the entire 10mile trail (one way) but you'll see a lot more wildlife than most. I got to see a Florida kingsnake, copperhead, and striped crayfish snake in a day. You can also go off trail as much as you want, but I didn't due to the fact it was waterways on both sides of the trail, and I wasn't in my swamp boots.
