I'm curious what the titles are this time around. Fatgami looks like a 1920s plantation owner. "Ah say, ah say suh, do not be insinuatin' that I am a lowly heir!"

All you dudes talking about split-personalities, you seem to be working under the assumption that the game's writers are lazy enough to copy twists from the previous game. New game, new rules. Fat-Togami may not even be wealthy, the generic love interest probably won't be psychotic, and I doubt anyone has multiple personalities. Besides, everyone knows that the mastermind will be Santa. *I have heard nothing about this game before besides what was talked about in the Dangan Ronpa 1 thread. None of the above statements are spoilers (as far as I know).

BFC posted:Actually, are any of the track names spoilers? If not, would you mind adding the music of the game to OP as the LP goes on? Some of the music in DR1 was great but scrubbing through old updates in order to find a specific track was a pain. Well, for the first game seeing the soundtrack ahead of time did spoil Dangan Ronpa 1's big twist, so I'd say it's not worth the risk.

Just wanted to say, Ibuki's hair ornaments remind me of Scary Spice when they were still a thing. She often had her hair in silly cones. ALT: Uma Thurman, Batman.

My god, on that Mukuro/Junko official art I've just realised. Mukuro is doing the same pose (only with a gun) on her own official art. That's pretty clever.

With the speculation about Bedhead's SHSL ability, what if she didn't get in with a talent per se? What if she is just Super High-School Level Tits? (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

Something I've noticed about Togami's behaviour: he seems more willing to talk with others this time around. This time, without Naegi, he has taken the initiative to attempt to unite people, instead of locking himself in the library like in the previous game.

I think Fatgami's likability has increased because he feels more human. He has things he visibly enjoys now, even if it is food, and it makes him relatable, because while not everyone knows what it's like playing the stock market, everyone has a food that they could just pig out on if given the opportunity. In my case it's cake

Nefarious Asparagus posted:Or maybe they're required to have an even sixteen every year which is how you get students with bullshit talents like SHSL hall monitor. Not really of any use to anyone but ehhhhh might as well throw them in we've got a quota to meet. Well, Hall Monitor skills can be put in other situations to be fair, such as... Forum Moderators, for example.

I was just thinking, the 16th student may have been a teacher. They do have a SHSL coach after all, why would they not put him on the faculty to teach Gym classes? It's a possibility. He was probably learning High School stuff on the side from SHSL Tutors of varying subjects. My Theory: Nidai is a coach first and foremost, High School Student last. Monobear may be trying to get people thinking that he's the mastermind using wordplay, getting them to distrust the non-fulltime student.

I do quite like how what she just said to Matsuda (That at this point, she just wants to forget him too) has actually hit him. It broke his facade, cause I was starting to get sick of his aloof behaviour, and that it's at least starting to ease up is nice.

orenronen posted:They most certainly do talk more, though I am still amazed how little of these conversations are filler, which is the case in most other visual novels I played. The characters in DR constantly say interesting things. It actually reminds me of Persona 4, where when I first played the game, I got through the initial cutscenes to the first save opportunity, saw 4 hours had passed, and actually didn't mind that the game started with 4 hours of straight cutscenes cause they were interesting. That game also had a great ending. What's your opinion on the Persona series?

I never new the Bara thing, that makes the Shadow Kanji fight in Persona 4 make loads more visual sense. A teenage boy's naked torso poking out of the centre of a bouquet of roses that is embedded in the chest of a large burly man who wields to Mars symbols as weapons. Flanked by two burly minions called 'Nice Guy' and 'Tough Guy'
