Bunch of pansies, wanting extra roster spots. My vote is for only 1 bench spot. Not 1 extra, 1 total. Adrian Peterson out for 5 weeks? do you bench him and lose a streaming spot for bye weeks, let him just sit in the starting spot and lose the points from that position, or outright cut him because that roster spot is too valuable to be wasted? Make people think. Iron Man Football.

I vote for leave it as is.

The three people getting promoted get a chance to pick over the rosters of the three teams that got relegated before the draft starts.

Josh Gordon would have been the best bang for your buck until he had to go gently caress that up.

The +1 indicates they were a first rounder last year, so extra penalties apply for keeping.

Current Keeper System

quote:

A) Every keeper has a one round penalty.
B) Penalties that can't be enforced will transfer to the next highest keeper.
C) If a round is not available, a greater round will be used. If a greater round is not available, the first available lower round will be used and a penalty will be assessed for each round below the keeper's value.
D) All penalties must be enforced.
E) The following season, keepers are valued with their initial penalty in mind (not including transferred penalties).
F) Once a player hits free agency in any form, that player is no longer eligible to be kept the following season.

Proposed Keeper Change for Next Year
I think I'm going to make one minor change to the keeper rules for next year. Specifically, bullet point E. I'd like to change it to read: The following season, keeper value is based off the highest of the following: 1) The round drafted in the previous season or 2) their draft value last season prior to any transferred penalties.

Originally I wrote the current version of E to prevent two 2014 1st rounders magically turning into a 1st and 2nd rounder in 2015 if you keep them both years. But its current form is just a bit too lenient for my taste.

Any objections?

Diqnol

On your lowest pick. And more penalties if you want to keep Gore in the first, too. Amount depending on how low of a pick you need to use to keep Gore.

Let us three promoted teams know if we need to do anything. Has the league been activated yet?

Also what is the thought behind free agency making players ineligible for keeping? This is my first time doing keeper.

Will do. I activated the league but I haven't removed the three losing teams yet / done anything yet. Nothing to do for you three until we have our supplemental draft (after keeper deadline).

As for free agents, most keeper leagues let you keep them for an arbitrary late round pick but most keeper leagues also have a limit of like 2-5 keepers total. This is some weird hybrid blend of a keeper league and a dynasty, and not keeping free agents is how I'm trying to keep the total number of keepers in check.

I'm working on redoing the OP for a new thread and I just realized I answered this question incorrectly. The penalty would indeed up the round on your next pick.

This doesn't affect you in this situation since you just want to keep two players, but I just wanted to correct myself.

New thread should be up on Monday. And invitations have been sent to people to join their new leagues.
