Well it's a bit later than the 70's but how about one of these http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=161&i=26637 or if you must have 70's http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=161&i=25923 Failing that there's always the classic MGB

Ok I have a stupid question...sorry for the thread hijack but you are a S2000 owner and all. Here it goes, and yes I feel like a retard. Oil: I check my oil every time I fill up, the engine is usually warm and the dipstick shows halfway between low and high. It's currently winter and the car has been standing for a month or so in the garage. Today I turned the engine over and checked the oil only to see it below the 'Low' mark. There is no oil on the ground, and I'm not sure which reading (the one I took a few weeks ago, or the one tonight) is correct. Before you ask, yes i do wipe the stick before taking my reading! If it is indeed low and needs a top up, which flavour oil should I add? Does it matter if I'm not using the exact same type as the service stations? Yours sincerely A Retard. Edit: How about a Mk1 Capri? Jut fucked around with this message at 23:14 on Dec 27, 2012 |

OK, keeping the unusual theme, how about a TVR? Wait. come back and look at these beauties http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVR_Grantura But good luck finding one... A Vixen may be findable http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVR_Vixen Failing that a Chimera has retro looks and is a absolute beast.

Adiabatic posted:Absolutely love TVRs. You're on the right track now Jut. I was drooling over a Cerbera earlier today, they are cheap as chips in the UK with £10-12k fetching you a nice one. The only problem is that I now live in Romania and there is an illegal pollution tax for importing cars from the EU which would add 5-6k onto the cost, otherwise I would drive my S2000 over to the UK and drive back with a shiny TVR next week. God I want one so bad. Shame they never made it over to the US in large numbers:(

The road to be quite honest is a piece of poo poo and it's more than a little scary when you come around a barrier-less hairpin with a huge drop on one side, to see a shepard walking a flock of sheep along the road. Oh and we were witness to an accident which killed 3 people...

Since you know S2k's well, I'd just like to ask you a thing. I seem to have an oil leak (slow, not dripping) at the front left of the engine, by the tensioner... Some peeps say this is common and to forget about it, others are giving me horror stories. I have to drive 2000km in a few weeks so I don't want to risk breaking down in loving Serbia or something. What would you do....I mean what do you think I should do?

The bottom bolt on the tensioner? is covered in lovely amber oil, the others are clean so I think it's coming from there...or maybe I'm rubbish...
