I watched Haemoo (Sea Fog). There's a kinda contrived love story weaved into it and it could have been cut by like a solid half hour for pacing. The second half of the movie is fairly decent though. People going nuts on a boat and all.

The Handmaiden makes you feel like a pervert by the end of it. Compelling from start to finish though, one of my favorites of the year. So ambitious.

Muted calls for The Handmaiden to win something or at least be nominated at the Oscars. http://www.indiewire.com/2016/11/the-handmaiden-park-chan-wook-oscar-korea-consider-this-1201749845/ Would be entirely deserving, so it definitely won't happen.

I'd describe The Wailing as a horror epic. Really loving long but I think it earns its length. It feels so confident and dynamic in every scene.
