Australia were good in the first two tests with a depleted side against South Africa. England would have lost 3-0 if they weren't saved by the weather in the second test. Yeah we got rolled in the third but our bowling line up was worse than third string. I reckon it is going to be close in England and we will win at home.

That catch was not out the same way the Gibbs catch was not out in the 99 World Cup.

I see all this in a different way. The team is in crisis mode, they got embarrassed in the last test and these four players were given an extremely simple task to do by the team management. Now I am sure things in the Australian team work just like they do elsewhere. When you are asked by the management to do something you do it. While at face-value all they have done is not complete a piece of homework, it's the underlying attitude problem that caused the non-completion that they are being punished for. When a team is in strife like this one is everyone needs to come together and do what they're told by management and the captain to give themselves the best chance of getting through it.

I would kill to have a bowler half as good as MacGill in the side right now. He would have got 400 wickets for sure if it wasn't for Warne. Truly the Pete Best of cricketers.

I did, and there is no way any of the female bowlers could ever make it in the men's game. They are just too slow. However surely the batsmen could. They obviously have the freakish hand-eye co-ordination required so all they'd need is a shitload of practice against 140km/h bowling. I bet they'd face bowling machines and men's club bowlers who bowl that pace all the time. Plus I believe they use a slightly lighter ball so they'd need to get used to a heavier ball as well.

Brett Lee's figures were 59 matches, 231 wickets, @ 31.6 with a strike-rate of 53.1 during Warne and McGrath. Brett Lee's figures were 17 matches, 79 wickets, @ 28.5 with a strike-rate of 53.8 after Warne and McGrath.

There was a white mark on the bat right where the ball went past. He definitely hit it. But he was sure he didn't. I guess you musn't be able to feel nicks with modern bats.

If there is some stuff they are using to fool hotspot it would be some sort of non-reactive solid coating similar to that extra-tec poo poo they used to put on bats.
