I'm sure at some point they'l release it. It's not the same thing but they did go back and re-do Wired when they thought the original episode was garbage.

Serious question: Do you think there is room for another Bad Movies podcast out there? I have wanted to start one for some time not knowing that there even was a world of trash cinema podcasting until about a month ago. What would you like to see in a bad movie podcast or what about the ones that exist do you not like?

Aside from the normal rules of knowing how to take criticism and basic technical stuff, it may help to have a gimmick, like staying with horror, doing something like YITB or something to try and make you stand out.

I hate We Hate Movies because it sounds like two dumb kids riffing in mom's basement. Its not funny, its not interesting and it doesn't provide me, the listener, with any value. Remember, your podcast is a product and you want other people to consume that product. Don't be lazy and think you can riff on the fly; prepare your material in advance. Also, learn when to drop a bit. If something isn't funny the first time you say it, it isn't going to be funny the fiftieth time. Pull what comedy you can out of an idea and then move on. Finally, and most importantly, don't do impressions. I don't know you, I've never heard your voice, but you don't sound like Yoda, Christopher Walker, Sean Connery, Christophe Waltz, John Wayne, Elvis, Samuel L. Jackson, Truimph the Hand Puppet Dog or whoever you want to do an impression of. Its not funny, its just tiresome.

Only problem I have with them is when they get lazy with a slower paced movie.

Instead of doing any prep, they just repeat "OH GOD WHY ISN'T THIS MOVIE WHAT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE I'M SO BORED PLOT IT DOESN'T MATTER WHATEVER" for the entire show. The Deep Impact episode was really terrible because they kept expecting Armageddon and it clouded everything. The Cat People episode was also kind of bad because they focused on the remake aspect instead touching on the way more interesting fact that it was Paul Schrader's drug-fueled nightmare and his final studio movie until 1998.

How do you not touch on that?

Deep Impact made sense though. Those 2 films are going to always be constantly compared, and I think it makes sense to compare a flm that was all action, but was at least fun, to a movie that tries to be serious but just comes off as silly and boring.

I'm sort of contemplating making a new thread for them but eh, they'll fit here, Night of the Living Podcast http://www.notlp.com/. They review mainly horror films.

They have a pretty good structure of 1 Banter 2. Review a straight to DVD horror film (generally the film is garbage) 3. Main Discussion of film, usually based off a monthly theme IE: Bugs, Documentaries etc.

They have probably the absolute best banter and flow as a group of any podcast I've ever listened to. It's amazing how much fun they're clearly having and how close they are, it's super clear they're all best friends and it just makes so show a million times more fun.

I'd recommend ordering their early episodes from them, you can get them by donating, but I think you can get episodes like 100 to 303 or wherever they are now absolutely for free on Itunes, it's just ep 1-75 or so.

Though I may skip some early stuff, as their early co-hosts of Matt and Ryan can be really loving annoying. It felt like they really did not want to be on the show.

If Bloody Good Horror is anything like my other favorite movie podcast to We Hate Movies, Night of the Living Podcast, then it's not like the other podcasts posted in this thread. NOTLP, and likely BGH, are both dependent on you really liking the people on the shows and caring about their personal stories and etc. NOTLP takes time to get into the films, but it's hilarious because the groups interactions with each other is natural and it feels just like a cool group of best friends chatting about horror.

All the podcasts I've been following have been on great form lately with the only problem being the WHM break. Dammit they're supposed to be out every Tuesday without fail! Thanks to whoever recommended the NOTLP. Man is it good to have 300+ episodes to binge through.

A bit of warning for NOTLP, the early episodes have a couple of members, Matt and I forget the other guy who, maybe it's just me, are super loving annoying. Thankfully they leave the show in the mid 50's or so,but they can be really grating. Once they get the main crew together, Andy, Freddy, Amy, Chiz, Kelly and Erica the show gets amazing.

NOTLP rules because of the variety of stuff they do. Besides the normal straight to video and normal horror film, my favorite episodes are when they review horror themes porn, the best being the XXX Files.

Yeah, It's That Bad just dropped their last episode, where they actually acknowledge and discuss the problems some people had with the show. Someone also wrote a great send-off to YITB, and the comments section explains why they had to end it: apparently, a group of fans discovered the identities of the three hosts, and went to them with the news. Joel, Martin, and Kevin basically replied (politely) with "if you reveal this information, then we'll have to end the show." The fans called their bluff, and that's why it's over.

The show's content rarely rose above PG-13 levels, so I'm guessing one of the guys simply isn't allowed to do creative projects outside of work. It wasn't my favorite movie podcast, but it's sad to know that I'll no longer have an outlet to listen to those guys.

Holy poo poo the comment from the guy who tried to unmask them was one of the dumbest things I have ever read. They wanted exposure for their own lovely podcast so they decided t reveal their names and places of work? What kind of massive loser do you have to be to do that?

Reading their comment it reads like they desperately wanted attention for their own show, saw this one was relatively popular, made up some bullshit to try and justify it and then, because they're massive nerds, though A RIVETING EXPOSE on some bad movie podcasters that included personal details lik exactly where they work would get them listeners.

So, after months of digging, we were going to do an unveiling of the men behind the podcast on our own podcast on Wednesday, July 31! So, we sent Joel an email and he said that if we post this, that all their jobs were in jeopardy and they would be fired for doing this podcast. We knew that was bogus. So, for all you hardcore fans out there, here's some "Yeah, it's that bad trivia" to use at your next party! Martin **** - he's the lead graphic designer working at **** somewhere in the Northeast. Kevin **** - he's a CPA and an operations manager for **** and used to work at **** a few years ago. We're still looking into Joel, who remains very undercover but we do know his last name is ****!
