I liked a few of the Dawn FM songs that were in that Live at SoFi Stadium concert movie, but they definitely weren't my favorites of the songs he played there.

I'm still of the opinion that Starboy was his last really good album. Even After Hours only has like two great songs - Heartless and Blinding Lights. The rest are just whatever IIRC.

House of Balloons will always be my favorite work of his :colbert:

Also, I really like Kiss Land though I don't think many other people did

Chappell Roan is gonna be on the Coachella livestream today at 5:30PM PDT. I haven't heard any of her music but I've been hearing a bunch about her, so this will be my first exposure to her.

Pretty funny that Chappell Roan's band is wearing shirts that say "EAT THE RICH" when they're at Coachella lmao

Grimes is having a bunch of technical difficulties with her DJ set and she keeps explaining them to the crowd every time and screaming and going "It's not my fault!" lol, it's hard to watch

Does she always do DJ sets nowadays? I remember when I saw her when she was touring for Art Angels in 2015, she was actually singing her own songs. She put on a pretty good show back then, but that was almost a decade ago.

Forgot Swift's new album is coming out Friday. Have their been any singles released? Are "no singles released" a normal thing for her?
Oh that's right! The Dead Poets Society or whatever

e: There's a music video release the day of the album release, but no new music in this video

I'm only on track 3 of TTPD but these songs haven't grabbed me so far. Then again, I wasn't into Midnights the first time I heard it, but I've listened to that album several times since and like it a lot more now.

e: I think Guilty as Sin might be the first song on here that I've liked

31 songs is too much for any album, especially when the first half had barely any standout songs. I'm sure the hardcore Swifties eat these up, though.

I think that's why I'm liking it considerably more than the first half of the album, though I still don't like these songs as much as the Folklore/Evermore ones.

The album actually has decent pacing to it and its actually not that bad since its so long. My issue is that a lot these lyrics are trash. The Jack Antonoff of it all, I thought it would be more boring but it is what it is. There are some sonic highlights here for me, but the rest feels like its for the fans. The whole second disc worth of songs, I'm barely getting through right now and its fine. I think people will absolutely be relistening to this and it has a ton of replay value for fans. I'm just curious to see how it will perform compared to her previous stuff.

Listening to the album again, and like...it's fine, but why would I want to listen to 2 hours of this when I could listen to better albums she's put out like 1989 instead?

e: Oh my god, it just goes on and on and on

If you've got an AMC Theater near you, they're doing listening parties for Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard And Soft next Thursday the 16th. I got a ticket for one at my local AMC Dolby theater.

The album comes out the next day.

Listening to Billie's Happier Than Ever album again since I'm going to hear her new album in a movie theater tomorrow. I still love her voice but I don't love a lot of these songs. Hoping her new album is more my thing.
