India/Pakistan/Bangladesh/Nepal/Myanmar was all India under British colonialism. Messy borders following the partitioning and ensuing strife should be expected

Not to mention that much of British India was ruled indirectly by a variety of 'princely' or 'native' states, who all had their own succession rules and territories, much like those in Europe.

As a 31 year old Brit I have never used or been taught Fahrenheit (well, I have vague memories of doing it in primary school) and I don't know anyone who would use it. Even my grandparents use Celsius.

Falklands are gray, though.

The Canary Islands are part of Spain. The Falklands are not part of the UK, they're a British Overseas Territory.

Both the British Empire and the English Civil War are taught extensively at KS3. Imperial stuff tends to focus on India and often there's only really time to cover the broad questions of what the empire was/what Britain got out if it and then the most common focus is on Indian independence.

To be fair my experience was 15 years ago so I'm generalizing a bit. We skipped from the Tudors to WWI.

To be equally fair back there is a huge amount of variation in what's taught. Though I'd say Tudors to WW1 is a bit extreme. Normally slavery and the industrial revolution are in there as a minimum.
