speedtek posted:I have an old iPod Touch 2nd gen collecting dust, and would like to use it for XBMC remote. So far what I've found is that since it's an "old" Apple product I might as well throw it away. Is there something out there that I can use that I'm missing? I wanted to use an old iPhone 3G as a remote, but alas, the iOS is too old. It's making a nice paperweight on my desk at the moment.

tarepanda posted:Can't you upgrade it? Nah, the 3G can only update to iOS4.something and the XBMC remote app needs iOS 5. Or something like that. I tried it a while ago and ran into the issue - 3G can't upgrade to a new enough iOS for the app to run.
