Okay so Guy Goodbody suggested I post this here. I'll be doing a big post about it in GBS soon, but it seems very specifically relevant to your collective interests so I figured I'd give you a sneak peak.

Here's the thing though: I'm hoping this doesn't escape from the forums into the world at large until it's a little more done, so do try to keep it within SA for now.

I've been chopping up Dan Carlin podcasts and reassembling them into a different story. Currently it's called Hardcore Prophecy: The Trump of Doom. Some of you may remember a project like this called Son of Strelka that I did a few years back with Obama's autobiography. This one is much more dark, violent, and flat-out nasty. It's an alternate history story in which Donald Trump declares himself to be the new Messiah and becomes prophet-king of the USA. The results are, of course, mandatory congressional orgies in public, nationwide cannibalism along party lines, and good old fashioned nukes. Here's a quick video showing how it's done:

I think I dropped Revolutions somewhere in Haiti. I'm debating starting Haiti from scratch or just jumping to the Bolivarian episodes and doubling back to Haiti later when I run out of Revolutions.

Haiti was interesting but the fact that I didn't know about it at all ahead of time meant that it was terrible commute listening because I needed to pay full attention to it. An episode would end and I'd be like "wait... what?"

Facebook news did spoil a biography of Mikhail Gorbachev for me, and I was a strangely upset about it. They mentioned how Boris Yeltsin got into power and I’m just at that point in the book where the two men are getting increasingly aggressive towards eachother.

I am legitimately curious what happens to Marquis de Lafayette though. He’s right at that point where everyone in France hates him and his previous fame from the American Revolution isn’t doing him any favors.

I think he said he's not doing China or other Asian revolutions because he doesn't think he knows the history nearly well enough to make an attempt, which is fair enough. I dunno if he's including Iran or specifically thinking East/Southeast Asia. Cuba seems possible for sure.
