Even though I never shot my perfectly good Mamiya 645 setup when I had it, I want an SQ-Ai or 500cm setup so bad. :(

Welp, I bit the bullet and got a new back for my (school's) Sinar F. Gonna shoot like 22 frames this weekend, my back already hates me. I will be bringing my Pentax 6x7 + 3 lenses, a 5DMK2 with two lenses, and the Sinar F with 3 lenses.

May god have mercy on my soul.

May god have mercy on your spine.

Had a lovely time shooting last night, just me, the camera, and six members of the Greenburgh ny police department, who were all somehow necessary for filing a report about a guy taking pictures of the exterior of a store at night

Nice. I had two cops in a K-9 unit pull over to ask me why I was standing in the crosswalk by the median with a tripod. I told them I was taking a picture of the county library and would be gone in 5 minutes. They left but the younger guy looked mad.

Is it weird that I like to explore peoples' houses that I don't even know and take pictures? Not like breaking and entering, just like... meet them for the first time and take my 500cm and go exploring. Is that wrong?

My uncle is looking to sell some film gear and he's offered to sell it to me for what a used camera dealer is offering him. Here's the list:

Mamiya 645
1 - Mamiya 645 AFD with a Mamiya 654 AF 80mm 1:2.8 Lens
1 - Mamiya 645 AF 55 to 110mm 1:4.5 Zoom Lens
2 - Mamiya 645 120 / 220 Motorized Backs

Mamiya RB-67
1 - Mamiya RB-67 Pro-S Body with Prism Finder & 120 / 220 Motorized Back
1 - Mamiya RB-67 Pro-S Body with Metered Prism Finder & 120 / 220 Motorized Back
1 - Mamiya Sekor C 37mm 1:4.5 Lens
1 - Mamiya Sekor C 50mm 1:4.5 Lens
1 - Mamiya Sekor C 65mm 1:4.5 Lens
1 - Mamiya Sekor C 90mm 1:4.5 Lens
1 - Mamiya Sekor C 180mm 1:4.5 Lens
1 - Kenko 2X Mamiya RB TelePlus Converter

1 - Honeywell Pentax 1° / 21° Handheld Light Meter

They offered $943 for everything but that's way too much for me to spend and a lot of this seems redundant. I'm thinking I'll ask him for the RB-67 with metered prism, plus maybe the 37mm, 65mm or 90mm, and 180mm?

I'd like at least something wide, something normal-ish, and something long. I also have no idea what to offer for that stuff since they only have him a lump estimate. Thoughts?

If you had the $950 for everything, you could part it out and flip the extra for some good cash. I'm tempted to offer to throw in for one of the RB-67 bodies w/ finder and back, the 645AFD, and/or the Honeywell/Pentax meter.

This man is correct. I'm pretty sure I sold him my Mamiya 80mm F/1.9.

Yeah, now that I'm looking at prices...

What about the Mamiya offerings? Or the Yashicas?

Paul Muaddib is selling a Yashica-Mat in the buy/sell thread. I still have two recently CLA'd Yashica C TLRs for sale as well.

Those are all the for-sale TLRs I'm aware of here. :3:

For someone lusting after getting into medium format (for a portrait project I have in mind - yes I know I could easily do that on 35mm/digital, medium format is just so awesome), would this be a good starter camera?

Is that a ridiculous price?

I'm selling two Yashica C in the buy/sell thread that have been CLA'd and guaranteed working by Mark Hama, a Yashica repair specialist and former Yashica manufacturing laborer.

I'm selling it for $150 to recoup most of the CLA fee and what I spent on it on eBay 4 years ago. I'm taking a small hit but I'm patient.

I (or someone else) could serve as a forwarding station from the US if you want. One medium Priority box can hold a lot of rolls of film, especially out of the packaging.

I'd be willing to ship via USPS Priority for folks.
