yeah Eric got a Really Big Role that's basically paying all of his bills: Being Vergil from Devil May Cry. Unrelated-apparently, Park Ranger Garcia in Dino Fury was supposed to be a police officer earlier on, but they changed it as a result of... the events of last summer. Honestly? Smart call on the writer's part.

I'm curious-when MMPR was licensed, obviously, Saban and co had to give Toei money to use the footage and props and the like. Do you think getting Power Rangers money boosted the budget of Sentai stuff? (and their other projects as well, Toei isn't just Sentai, natch)

Now, the consensus is that the best seasons are Time Force and RPM, but they've got some heavy themes. Time Force deals with fate, lost love, prejudice, new love, and redemption and RPM is straight up a post-apocalypse story. If you want a series that's good but not too dark, I'd go with Ninja Storm. It's the most 'jokey' PR series, with a lot of humor poking fun at the usual PR tropes as well as just very sarcastic characters (Ransik is the funniest villain in the series).

Has there been a consensus on Beast Morphers yet? I've heard some people say it's just average, some people say that it has really high highs (the pilot, Steel and Nate joining the Rangers, the Dino Charge crossover, the finale) but the filler episodes are really bleh, and others say it's fantastic? I thought it was good but not great myself, somewhere on the level of Mystic Force

Oh I should clarify I'm fully on board for a Kyuranger adaptation because I really liked it Like, I can admit it's not perfect, as a Sentai series. It doesn't give focus out to the lesser characters very well. But I still think it's a fun, solid show with a lot of good humor and moments. Xelkelvos posted:Comedy duo was part of the main team... But yeah, place my bets on Kyuranger or Kiramager for the next adaptation. They've all but said ToQger won't be it, Lupin vs Patran would be too much of a hassle in today's climate, Zyuohger is my third place runner up but people have said the cube mechs are a turn-off, and Zenkaiger would just run into Super Megaforce problems.
