Yup, does nothing without a copy of Sims 1 installed and does nothing useful with it installed.

Is there any good way to turn the UI off altogether temporarily to get screenshots? I want to do a stupidly huge mosaic of one of my cities at a higher zoom level then scale it down a bit in post.

I deliver! This is 1/16 of the full image. 1/4 size (8.23 MB PNG, 2996x2024): http://files.cordilon.net/SC4/Victoria-District-Quarter.png Full size (128 MB PNG holy gently caress, 11984x8096): http://files.cordilon.net/SC4/Victoria-District-Full.png This is a small (four large tiles) section of the region I'm working on from the region map in the thread OP. All the screenshots involved were taken at 1920x1080 at zoom level 3. The mosaic was put together by overlapping screenshots in Photoshop, with seams fixed up with the clone stamp and content aware fill tools. It took about two hours to take all the screenshots (all 74 of them) and edit them together. Most of the seams are fixed, but blending the water textures together was a bit of a pain in some spots so it kinda looks like rear end at lower zooms. As I work on the region I'll probably update the mosaics, and create more for different sections. If people are interested, that is.

Thanks for the comments everyone benzine posted:Kazinsal, being a super sperg, there is monorail station unconnected. That screenshot makes me want to play SC4 right now. Ugh, I know. I was in the middle of building the whole monorail system when I decided "hey I wonder if I could do a high detail mosaic of this entire sector of the map" and, well, got this. The system also isn't connected to the southeast tile, though it crosses the border into it.

Samopsa posted:Here's a handy application to automate stiching of images (meant for panoramic shots, but should work for screenshots as well): http://www.cs.bath.ac.uk/brown/autostitch/autostitch.html Neat stuff, unfortunately the free version can't do planar projections, just spherical, which would fish-eye the edges of the image.

I just want airport and seaport decorative ploppables that don't require a gig of lovely dependencies each. That and nuclear power complexes

SAM's been built into NAM for several versions now. No need to download an outdated version.

It looks really good but I'm having a hell of a time getting past the tilt-shift crap that plagues modern sim games. Can it be turned off?

That's loving phenomenal. Procedural generation makes some really drat realistic layouts these days. Even runs half decently on my two and a half year old smartphone.
