Well our impression of the Nitro was back before they learned Food Honor plus extra training. Plus they're like the normal in the Gourmet World so if the story is going to move into there, the Heavenly Kings should be able to beat the 'normal' Nitro now. But I'm sure there are much more powerful ones there. And if they're going to play a role in the story, there would be 4 factions now in the story.

Also Setsuno is scary!

Yeah the Batoto ones is fixed but those on the other sites still seem to have that page missed out.

But drat I wonder how powerful Jirou really is. We know the Nitros are already very powerful, and now they're supercharged but Jirou just flicks them to death casually.

Unfortunately, Jirou is probably going to get his rear end kicked here.

Nah, I think this is the part which makes Joa run away because it's not worth fighting Jirou right now. And story-wise the good guys need Jirou because they're getting overpowered by the Bishokukai and Neo. Though I didn't expect Jirou to be so ridiculously overpowered, compared to current standards.

I didn't really expect the Ichiryuu vs Midora battle to happen so soon, or that it would happen totally off-screen, considering how built-up Ichiryuu was. Here's to hoping we get a long flashback to the battle later on.

In the Gourmet World, size and scale get thrown out the window. In just this last chapter, there was a turtle with what amounted to an entire castle on its back and it was easily dwarfed by other creatures in the wild.

I was wondering if the the volcanos at the demon's feet were actually normal sized volcanos or not.

The good food stimulates the gourmet cells, causing hair and nails to grow as a sign of their inner power growth, kinda like Tetsuo in Akira.

My problem with Toriko's full course is that it has no synergy or encompassing theme. It is just whatever ingredients they come up with at a given point in the manga, but the style and scope of the setting has developed over time.

The encompassing theme is that they're all super goddamn delicious!

The anime is definitely off it's rails now. Wonder why they chose to do a batshit crazy departure from the manga.

Not the first one to do so, I remember Soul Eater doing the same thing too. Possibly they'll reboot it eventually like Hunter x Hunter? Or start a 2nd season when the Gourmet World part is long enough.

I know it's always been weird but for some reason it feels like Toriko's really gone off the deep end here.

When I saw those weird demon faces, I thought they were related to the Old Man Daruma that Brunch always mentioned.

I'm going to repeat this ad nauseum but this manga does a really good job of scaling out its power levels. Like there's no possible way for them to ever beat bambina or probably any of the other kings; actually, they have to train harder than they've ever done just to be a king's playmate. The four probably strongest dudes in the world are constantly helpless to creatures that have existed and ruled long before they were even born and it puts this wacky world into perspective.

They're probably not going to defeat Bambina either, probably just get close enough to tickle his balls...

When Acacia went to meet with the Blue Nitro. It was said that PAIR had come to see him. It appears that the Nitro that Toriko and Komatsu met is named PAIR. Anyone think it's a possibility that all of the Blue Nitro are named after the ingredients.

Could be that each Blue Nitro is assigned to or specialises in each of the ingredients.
