i like autism music but if i listen to it when i'm working, i either get overfocused (and end up just doing stupid poo poo when i should be getting up and takin a break), or i just get depressed i listen to the pixies a lot when i'm programming, it makes me feel a lot happier but it doesnt distract me

true story when i worked construction i spent a lot of time working with this black guy. we'd shoot the poo poo a lot and talk about this and that. anyhow we were talking about sex and he said "oh yeah i always turn on marvin gaye when i want to get it on" and i said 'yeah i don't know that stuff just makes me laugh' so he asked me what white people listen to while having sex and i said 'npr mostly' one of the funnier things i've said imo

I think the lyrics on TDS get pretty close to being good but they're definitely in the angsty/awkward territory. the production just makes up for it. i think he's a really talented producer/musician/whatever and his voice is even pretty good but man those lyrics honestly though there are very few contemporary artists who don't write poo poo lyrics.
