A childhood of reading Mortadelo y Filemón and Condorito has left me with a love of really obvious punchlines, is there something comparable to the type of humor that Gintama uses? I've seen it's more or less common on slice of life types, but those are extremely hit and miss, so some recommendations would be nice(manga or anime is ok).

Hell, I should re-watch that show. I think I'll start that this weekend. He hasn't even watched a single robot anime yet, why would he want it deconstructed.

I was reading some Penny Arcade comic that kinda reminded me of Eatman, but everyone says it's just like Trigun. Now, I somehow have never seen Trigun, is it really comparable to Eatman? the manga was one of my favorites. And since I'm here, is there anything recent like it? I mean, in the "invincible guy goes around fixing things" mold.

Captain Invictus posted:That's a pretty abrupt rebuking! Is it really that terrible, it looks like a goofy premise leading to wacky hijinks. Status quo hell, or what? Depends on your stance on tsunderes(everyone is tsundere). I just hate it more than usual because it's made by the Double Arts guy. By the way, I think Baby Steps is a good read, it's basically the opposite from Prince of Tennis.
