New chapter of Rosario+Vampire: http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Rosario-Vampire-II/Rosario-Vampire-Season-II-064----Sorry?id=166337

The ending of this chapter is pretty cliche, but whatever.

I've been re-reading through Negima! again recently, and I was curious what Akamatsu was doing nowadays, so I googled it. And I found this.

I am so hype. My body is ready. :fap:

The emoticon was the joke :ssh:. But yea, the easiest way for this to be better than Negima is it having less of a focus on fanservice. I hope we at least hear about characters like Rakan, Negi, and Eva in passing, even if all it is is a story of their adventures or something.

This is gonna be a long week...

This guy looks the same as Fate:
I found that image on AstroNerdBoy's blog, he used to post spoilers from Negima.

Link for lazy people. SO EXCITED

Eva was one of my favorite Negima characters by far. Those first few pages, especially the one where she leaves Chachazero, break my heart

E: Maaaaaaaaaaan, I'm so jazzed up now. Akamatsu is still god.

This is a good manga. Go read it.

New Rosario+Vampire: http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Rosario-Vampire-II/Ch-066-002--Dawn-of-the-Dark--002?id=176439

This manga has gone so far off the rails. Isn't it just great? :allears:

drat, Tsukune looks really cool.

Negima and UQ Holder. If you can get past the first 2 volumes of Negima, and deal with a smattering of fanservice here and there, then the action is a lot of fun. UQ Holder is a sequel, but you don't need to read Negima first (you still should though!)

I read through FMA for the first time a few months ago, and I almost dropped it after the first few chapters, because with the back-to-back despair of the little girl chimera and the emaciated little girl corpse, I wasn't sure if it would be fun read for me. Fortunately, they do dial back on it a bit as the series continues, once the consequences of human transmutation are established.

Rosario To Vampire Epilogue

Pretty much a return to the series comedic roots, pretty entertaining and I really enjoyed Moka's father true personality. Weird way to resolve the harem though Tsukune's in love with Moka's mother and Moka is kind of turning into her plus Moka's father sort of approves the harem. That's gonna be an awkward family reunion :v:

I liked Moka's father's faces. :)

I read through HxH for the first time a few months ago, and I have mixed feelings. I was really enjoying it up until the Chimera Ant arc, which went on forever and ever and ever. It wasn't really a bad arc by any means, I just never got that into it. I did like the revive Gon arc, because Killua is cool, but I never read past chapter 340 because I didn't want to start an arc that probably wouldn't be finished before the next hiatus. A few weeks later I was vindicated when the manga went back on break. :v:

Well... That was something. I'll definitely read the next chapter or two, it seems like it could be interesting.

I really liked that in Negima the characters changed outfits semi-frequently. Off the top of my head I don't think this has happened much in UQ Holder, but the action scenes still being awesome totally makes up for it. Akamatsu is great at conveying fast movement!

It's well executed and fun, but SY is much more 'safe' manga. It's an Inuyasha knockoff in generic magical feudal japan, but the solid characters and lively illustration do lift it up. It only really came into it's own once it bumped off its not-Inuyasha and switched protagonists.

Yeah I agree, the second half is much better than the first.

Lots of mangaka get started by making porn doujinshi, and some even continue making it after they become successful. Do you not read manga by those people, either? :v:

edit: was thinking about making a Kimetsu no Yaiba thread but it's not discussed much here. Maybe if it gets an anime at some point.

I really enjoy KnY! Fire pillar guy... RIP. :(
