The recent Anime Arc was canon and actually referenced in the manga. (As the Zentopia incident). Timeline wise it works and nothing is contradicted. Cobra even has the same look in it as he was one of the villains. It should be noted that Cobra had a pet Snake named Cubellios. Kinana a member of fairy tail that is normally seen in the back ground who joined after the Nirvana arc is Cubellios's human form as she was turned into a Snake years before fairy tail started.

Some Information I just found out in a in a Q&A some info about Yukino was interesting. A cult of Zeref worshipers killed her parents and kidnapped her older sister Sorano bringing her to the Tower of Heaven Who do we know that looks a lot like Yukino and was a slave in the Tower of Heaven. Still if Klodoa and Erigor are around he could get them as they were members back in the anime arc. If Cobra is willing to work with Brain again then kick Klodoa and add Erigor.

(He effortlessly beat Erza once and came close to beating her a 2nd time but lost once due to his sound magic. He heard the voice of his Snake friend as he had been searching for her and this distracted him long enough for Erza to knock him off the platform they were fighting on.) Angel obtained a new Magic called Angel magic that allowed her to summon Angel like creatures. What she sacrificed for this magic was her life span. Each time she summoned them she would use coins represented some of her life span. Once she ran out the Angels would consume her soul while she delusionaly believed that they would turn her into an Angel upon death. Racer perfected his magic. It did what it used to do slowing everything down while granting him super speed at the same time. He was pretty much Teleporting with his magic. In exchange for this he gave up his heart, losing his personality making him little more then a sadistic and cruel animal that could speak. (Though it tended to be little more then evil laughter and rage.) Erigor became a full member known by the code name of Grim Reaper. He turned his wind magic into very powerful Storm Magic allowing to control the weather. In exchange he gave up his memories. It reminded me of One Piece but a lot faster and bit less beautiful absurdity. That said the owl-man with a jet pack was pretty great. Fun fact in the Anime only arc Cobra lost to Erza purely because of his enhanced hearing again. He had improved his magic so that screaming in his ear would not disable him like it did in the past. But his super hearing still caused his defeat he heard Kinana and became distracted by her voice allowing Erza to knock him off the platform they were fighting on while his guard was down. Anyway from the interaction with Natsu Zeref and Igneel have had. I am going to take a guess that Natsu is END.
