I don't know a ton about the WoD. Does anyone have a primer on Beast and what made it / its first draft so skeezy?
In short, you play Abuse Elementals, and your victims deserve it.

Also they've got a special rule that makes it so that other supernaturals start out friendly when meeting them unless they have a compelling reason not to be.
And the game doesn't seem to acknowledge that literally every other splat, if they know what a Beast is, has an extremely compelling reason. EDIT: I mean, even knowing about this effect would be a compelling reason in itself, too.

No one seems to be reevaluating
People aren't re-evaluating Beast as a metaphor for, or frequently non-metaphorical, abuse. That was the first evaluation of the actual game, rather than the elevator pitch.

Remember when some nutjob came and tried shooting his ex girlfriend in a bar, where mccracken happened to be at the time, and mccracken blamed HER for it?

... in an update on his kickstarter for a new edition of world of synnibarr?

I do believe that the high volume, low value transaction thing is a real issue for a Patreon-type service. It's not even about profit; you can easily end up in the red that way. But there a ways to mitigate those issues in your payment model, which they clearly haven't done, and have picked the "solution" most likely to shoot themselves in the foot.
Well, one of the things they did, but that they are explicitly changing away from, was the run one transaction a month, so if you back 20 creators for $1 each, they run one $20 transaction on your card instead of 20 $1 transactions. They did do things to mitigate that problem, and are explicitly stopping doing so.
