Baloogan posted:this is btw hugely awesome !! Yah, it is! So far they've decided on the JAS 39 Gripens and it's looking like a mission to Tibet to support the Indian "humanitarian" mission. Once the mission is picked we'll hire some support staff, ground protection, and get into the first mission. Just wait till you see the Ground Specialist. Jimmy the Juggalo will not disappoint.

So even if you had a campaign a la the Fighting Steel Project that generates a CMNAO scenario when combat took place, which covered the Pacific War (or both the Atlantic and Pacific Wars), I'd pay $200 for it. So someone make it so I can give you my money.

If it requires more than an RS-232 serial port it ain't Grog.

I'm having an issue in CMANO where the UI in the right panel behaves weird. Elements disappear or lose their text/styling when I mouse over them, especially buttons. Here's an example where I moused-over a whole bunch of stuff. Googling suggested disabling the Steam Overlay, but I tried that and it's still happening. Any other suggestions?

Anyone else have severe frame rate issues with CMANO at 4k resolution? They go away if I make the main map display window smaller, but I want a YUGE MAP.

If you check a button in the settings somewhere while making the scenario, 'make loadable' or something you can load it as a scenario and edit it before saving and continuing. Only thing to watch is the player who's turn you load it on will have already made their production for the turn when you initially load it but still have everything qued so if you don't remove their production orders they'll get double that turn when they re-load it. I found, through trial and error, A program installed with my ASUS Motherboard, Sonic Suite 2, was causing the issue. Like Nahimic (a similar product for MSI mobos that someone posted about causing this issue on the Matrix forums), it claims to improve sound, but I find no use for it. I found that launching it launched two other executables: SS2Svc64 and SS2Svc32 when I checked Task Manager. Killing SS2Svc32 and restarting CMANO fixed the issue for me. To avoid having to do this every time, I went to the Startup tab of Task Manager (in Win 10; in prior versions of Windows I believe this would need to be done in msconfig) and disabled SS2UILauncher.

On mine the window information will take about 10 seconds to propagate but the moment you drag it all the info snaps into place. I keep the task manager up and the CPU/memory usage is still in single digits. There's some weird bottleneck I'm having. I have all top end poo poo and can barely get past 15 seconds compression steps. Even watching the process manager my CPU and ram doesn't really spike.

Is there any grog game a la war in the pacific where rather than playing yourself you have to code the AI to play for you? I am trying to exercise my AI skills a bit and would love to do so on a strategy game. If there is no programming grog games proper, is any of them particularly well suited for AI modding? Preference if it works on linux (which unfortunately none of these games do).
