I would argue that the $250 price point is fine for the Steel as there is nothing to compare it to. There are simply no other smart watches out there that A) have this large of a community backing B) are metal cased C) have something better than cheap mineral glass or plastic. However, I can't justify throwing down $250 since I already own a Pebble. Now if I broke or lost my current Pebble, I would seriously consider replacing it with a Pebble Steel.
