METRO 2033 really pulled off that post-apocalyptic atmosphere like no other game, but gently caress me if it wasn't a chore to actually play, what with the brain-dead human AI and the bullet sponge enemies.

The true difficulty should have been included in the release version, then. I did try to get into the game once after the Ranger Pack was out, and it made the monster fights bearable, if not particularly fun for me.
