I'm thinking of putting together a "minimalist" kit because I don't have much room, or the privilege of being able to bash away on a bunch of toms and cymbals since I need to keep the noise down. Right now I was thinking an 18x16 floor tom, a snare, a ride, and hi-hats. Probably played with a brush and a mallet for the tom. Anyone else here done something like this before?
