I'm starting as I mean to go on, with wonky photographs and questionable focus.

I, Forkbanger, oathed to paint 3 Ronin and 1 Convict Gunslinger for my Malifaux Viktoria's crew. Here they are!

I've detected these things for my Detective Journal-
A base coat-

Washes-

Starting with the details-

And I've doubled my fun by painting them to match the box art (which is used on model's stat cards in Malifaux, so I know which Ronin has been stabbed and how badly).
...
..
.
..
...
I have also just found out that the Wyrd website is making GBS threads the bed, and I can't link to their catalogue. This is probably because they're overhauling everything fo rthe Malifaux 2.0 public beta that rolls out tomorrow.

Here's the Wyrd Convict Gunslinger-

(Yes, mine looks like a chubby bumblebee. The combination of stripes and yellow that was horrible to paint.)

And here's the Ronin-

(The flowers were superfun to freehand, btw.)

Also, superglad we had until 1am to make these posts.

So.

Oath complete, name in photo, WiP, boxes matched (kind of).

I, forkbanger, oath the Pelgar Mystics Dreadball team for the month of June - that's 8 bendy armed alien pacifists from Mantic Games, who'll be a themed group.

They're really fun to use, until your opponent kicks the living poo poo out of your players.

I thought I'd do a quick colour test on the Judwan team I'm painting this month, and then I thought I could make it a quick colour test and do some speed painting.

So, yesterday afternoon-

And this afternoon-

With a not-backlit, almost useful light source-

The yellow backplate is for the player number decal, which I'll be adding at the end.

Parts list, while I'm at it-
Eyes- Vallejo Foul Green + GW Nuln Oil + Vallejo Foul Green + Vallejo Sick Green
Teeth- GW Screaming Skull + GW Skull White + GW Agrax Earthshade
Bodysuit- Vallejo Sombre Grey + GW Nuln Oil + Vallejo Sombre Grey & Vallejo Stonewall Grey
Skin- Vallejo Stonewall Grey + GW Nuln Oil + Vallejo Stonewall Grey & GW Skull White
Suit Plating- GW Enchanted Blue + GW Asurmen Blue + GW Enchanted Blue & GW Ice Blue
Backplate- GW Iyanden Darksun + GW Flash Gitz Yellow + GW Seraphim Sepia
Metal- GW Boltgun Metal + GW Mithril Silver + GW Nuln Oil

fuckfuckfuck 30 days in june, 30 days, fuckfuckfuck

I am bad at calenders, but :siren:oath complete!:siren:

8 Judwan Dreadball players

Slightly more useful but still out-of-focus photo-

Name, models, bases (gloss black to match the pitch; threatened hexes to be marked later on, once I decide on a suitable colour for my teams)

Close up of the Detektuv's Journal related beatdown some of the players have-

Busted alien nose, pinky-purple blood, dinged up armour, damaged undersuit.

Do I need to repost the parts list and speed painting from my test model?

After some shopping, I, Forkbanger, oath for July 5 Chaos Knights.

I meant to pick up a new sawblade while I was out, but nope.

The robot team seems like the more baffling numbering problem.

My Dreadball robot plan involves magnets and numbered discs, to account for that whole transforming thing.

There should be, it's a great little game.

I'll get better pictures tomorrow, but they're done- one knight for each ruinous power, and a fifth horseman to stop them punching the hell out of each other.

Individual pictures now that I'm almost awake and stuff, and can remember things like 'press the macro button'-

Chaos Knight of nonspecific diety-

Chaos Knight of Khorne-

Chaos Knight of Slaanesh-

Chaos Knight of Nurgle-

Chaos Knight of Tzeentch-

For the month of August I, ForkBanger oath to paint 10 Chaos Warriors

Awful 'try and get your name in it' photo-

Group shot-

Detectuv's Jurnal is the weathered shields and armour and halberd rusting-

They are noticeably dingy and worn compared to my other Chaos Warriors, who like showing off their favoured god's colours-

One High Elf Skycutter-

The Jurnal Entry is the woodgrain on the body of the boat- it's not on the model.

ForkBanger

I, ForkBanger, oath to paint 10 High Elf Seaguard and the Viktorias Viktoria of Ashes and Viktoria of Blood.

I could not honestly tell you which Viktoria is Ashes and which is Blood, though. My Malifaux 2e book hasn't arrived yet, but I want my crew ready when it does.

First, though, I need more primer.

The Seaguard are Games Workshop, the Viks are Wyrd.

:siren:Oath Complete:siren:

I oathed a themed group of 10 High Elf Seaguard-

I was feeling frisky, so I painted 15.

Why all the gems?
The Jurnal is their [st]pink[/st] peach unit sashes. Nobody wears pink to a war, not even elves.

I'd also oathed the [st]Viktorias[/st] Viktoria of Ashes and Viktoria of Blood-

They're Jurnal'd too, with pink highlights on their awful Skrillex haircuts.

I have hosed up the photographing, as usual. The greens on the Seaguard aren't that flat.

I, Forkbanger, oath to paint one High Elf Mage and six Swordmasters of Hoeth in November. (Games Workshop, 28mm)

:catdrugs:Oath Complete!:catdrugs:

Although I do need to shake the excess grass off their bases.

One Mage and a themed group of six Swordmasters.

The tiny magic braziers are going to serve as tokens for the High Magic Lore Attribute, so I'd like to claim the I Rolled a Six! bonus.

No Jurnal this month.

ForkBanger
Jul 19, 2007

Oh god, what date is it? The 17th? Looks like this could be a busier month than expected.

Still, I, ForkBanger, oath 6 High Elves for December.

3 are a Seaguard command group, 3 are a Phoenix Guard command group.

ForkBanger
Jul 19, 2007

Oath complete!

3 Sea Guard and 3 Phoenix Guard!

Sea Guard command group with pink sashes to match October's unit.

Phoenix Guard command group with a Jurnal NMM banner top.

I should have not painted something involving so much metal everywhere else. And I should really time things better and not have to finish my bases at the last minute, but whatever.

ForkBanger
Jul 19, 2007

For the month of January, I oath to paint these 3 28mm Cipher Studios miniatures - Frederick Adler, Adolf Brunner and Tiamat.

ForkBanger

Lighting is awful, but whatevs.

Still, all done. Jurnal is the glowing eyes on the snappily dressed mage.

I'm planning on making some unit fillers for my Warhams- will they fit the diorama category if they're suitably dioramic?

ForkBanger
Jul 19, 2007

I'll start roughing something up for them, and post them so you can decide.

ForkBanger
Jul 19, 2007

First off, here's a better picture of January's spacemen-

Secondly, for February I oath to paint 2 40mm x 80mm Warhammer unit fillers (GW, 28mm).
With the wonders of blu-tac, some rough WiP shots-

An elf and a gnoblar arguing at what will be an impromptu barrel and plank table , with an impatient ogre mercenary in the background.

An ogre who's not waiting for his payment, and an upset elf cavalryman.

There is clearly a lot of cutting and assembling and modelling to do, which should hopefully count for the conversion bonus when I post pictures of the work.

ForkBanger
Jul 19, 2007

No problem, I'll get a bunch as I work on them and post them pre-painting.

Fork Banger - we'll need another picture with a proper timestamp, please!

No problem, I'll get them posted and officialised and whatnot after the cutting and gluing and other such work. Unless I need a time-stamped not-ready-to-paint not-converted image.

Actually, I'll do that anyway and just keep posting pictures until it works.

ForkBanger
Jul 19, 2007

Okay, this time, for February I oath to paint 2 40mm x 80mm Warhammer unit fillers (GW, 28mm).

One of them will be my diaroma entry (the one with the horse that needs the most work).

ForkBanger
Jul 19, 2007

My converting is finished, and an effort post will be forthcoming.

In the meantime, can I get these guys primed and started?

there were images here, but they've gone now

Also, walking away with a delicious horse drumstick, or just chilling and eating it in front of the ex-rider?

For March I oath these counts-as Ten Thunders monks-

The models are from Cipher Studios (intended for Anima Tactics) and GCT Studios (intended for Bushido). I'll be using them for Malifaux.

Conversions were the bases, changing thenm from standing on small rocks and balancing on twigs in ponds-

-into cobbled streets and balanced on brickwork, and smashing apart walls to huck at people.

For the month of April, I Forkbanger oath to paint Pandora, Candy, Baby Kade, a Poltergeist, 3 Sorrows, and Mr. Graves-

Mr. Graves has also had a little work done-
