Personally, the official app has been garbage for me. It's pretty spotty when connecting. I've had far better luck with ez imgur. Anything in particular that you didn't like about the other apps you tried? I can play around with a few and see if any are better. Or, like rscott mentioned, you could try something like dropbox/

Problem is, when I try to get the URL to post the pic, it just copies the URL. It doesn't offer the bbcode like the full site does, so I had to add the [timg] [/timg] tags. I'll have to play around a bit and see if there's an easier way.
