Either a predisposition to it specifically, just like some people go overboard with many other things in life; or a lovely life and nothing else to live for, don't want to use any drugs that are more difficult to obtain or illegal or that could show up on drug tests a couple of days later when trying to get a job. I'd probably stop drinking if I have any hope or future, or could smoke pot without any repercussions instead.
