For a zombie plague to spread, it basically requires nobody to know what's going on. If everyone instantly executed those who showed symptoms and enacted quarantines the story wouldn't happen. But normal people aren't crazy enough to assume that biting = zombie and kill their family.

I think the Sentinels are the best/worst part, though.

Also the last proper chapter. I guess it shows that she sort of cares about doing the right thing?

I think she's always cared about that. But her definition of it is pretty different to most people's definition.

the dude who does the prison school manga likes to draw porn. i dont understand why everyone thinks he had to sell out and draw smut before he could continue his magnum opus or something

Pretty much every manga artist has to draw porn at some point in their career, but this guy kept doing it so I guess he really just wants to make lovely porn forever.

Heard a rumor that it's going to go for one more book, with 138 the first chapter, so should be done early/mid next-yearish?

Really? Last chapter I read it seemed like it was pretty close to the endgame.

I want Dorohedoro to be loving DONE already so I can just experience the whole thing in one solid session over a few days. I already re-read it to remind myself of everything that happened when a bunch of chapters came out, but I probably forgot most of it already.

Damnit you nailed it. Write an e-mail to the publisher immediately. Maybe make it Dungeons and Dinners just to keep it more consistent with Dungeons and Dragons.

Haha jesus christ the comments section after that Fire Punch chapter.

It's actually kind of interesting to have a remotely realistic depiction of transgender issues in a manga, particular in a setting that isn't either related to "traps" or involving a cute transgirl/woman (like Bokura no Hentai or Hourou Musuko*). In fact, I think this is the first time I've seen a transman at all in a manga. Given how bad Japan is with issues related to gender/sexuality, it's kind of surprising to see this kind of thing, especially in a manga that isn't specifically focused on gender issues.

*I know Hourou Musuko had a girl in it who likes dressing like a boy, but IIRC she wasn't actually trans and just liked dressing that way? I haven't read through the whole thing.

There's a transman in I Am A Hero too.

shield hero is garbage and the author is scum.

didn't he also basically raise one of them, and as such the manga brings up some pretty hosed up vibes of child grooming?

It's an incredibly depressing manga so far. It's almost too draining to read when the author builds up a character, so that you care about them, and then wipes them out.

It's like George R.R. Martin in manga form.

So THAT'S why the books come so slow.

I started reading it today and I loving love it. It occasionally swerves into legitimate diving manga but mostly it's about drunk idiots who can't keep their clothes on.

Yeah, though some of the other games have been pretty creative. I like the King of Diamonds game where the characters have to guess what 80% of their average number chosen by other players would be. It's an interesting game that requires you to predict your opponents' strategies.

It's kind of dumb when death game manga have hardcore veterans who are supposedly super badass by virtue of surviving the games, despite the fact that a bunch of games are completely luck or mandate most people dying. Like, if naked guy (Kyuuma?) had encountered the Sheep and Wolves game he would have lost all his friends no matter how skilled they were or how good of a leader he is. I feel like death games are best when they minimize the luck factor, because luck-based games basically mean that no one would last very long before being unlucky enough to encounter and fail a luck-based game.

You can be skilled at being lucky. It's called cheating!

The tribal dudes are cool with me but I'm only one black dude. Cultural depictions of African dudes and their facial features is really complicated and I'm more interested in the character context of the representation than if the visual representation done by a Japanese artist lines up slightly but not entirely with more harmful American historical depictions. Complex thing though. There's black dudes that are better done by Japanese artists but also a lot worse.

It's racist, but it comes from a more innocent place than old western depictions of black people. It's much more forgivable than a lovely western depiction of black people.
