Himizu has been getting updated lately and that's a very good thing. http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Himizu

It's by the guy who did Boku to Issho so the faces and reactions are tops. Himizu is a pretty big departure from his comedies in terms of story but its still great.

I'm really liking it so far. I'd say its a little more light hearted than My Girl and Tetsugaku Letra. The art is pretty standard for her which is a good thing.

Also everybody should be reading Kingdom. http://www.batoto.net/comic/_/comics/kingdom-r642
Millions of years have passed since the times of legends, when the worlds of man and gods were still the same. In these times it was the desires of man that moved the world. It is the era of the 500 year war: The warring states period. Kingdom is the story of a young boy named Xin who grew into a great general and all the trials and bloodshed that lead him there.

The main reason is how he's able to portray such raw emotional out porings almost effortlessly. Also the openness of the scenes where he lets outside events momentarily override what's going along like in the first chapter when the mother conversation gets drowned out by a passing campaign van. It's a lot like a really good art film.

Hi-Score Gril is finally getting translated and y'all should read it. http://www.batoto.net/comic/_/comics/hi-score-girl-r9530

The year is 1991 and 6th grader Yaguchi Haruo only has video games to live for. He's not popular in school and he's neither handsome, funny, nice nor even friendly. The only thing he has going for him is that he is good at video games. One day at the local arcade, he plays Oono Akira, a fellow classmate but who's popular, smart, pretty and a rich girl that absolutely destroys him at Street Fighter II. Not only does he lose to her 30 times in a row, he can’t beat her at any game. Haruo can’t seem to shake Akira off as she follows him from arcade to arcade everyday after school and beats him every time. As weird as it sounds, the odd couple begins a strange bond and friendship.
