New chapter of Bambino Secondo.

Man, the conflict with the awful chef just seems so manufactured. Bambi runs the pasta section, right? If one of the chefs below him is bad at his job, gives bad advice to his co-workers, and refuses to improve, it's literally Bambi's job to go to the manager and get his dumb rear end fired, isn't it? This isn't like early on in the first series where Bambi, as the lowest on the totem pole, didn't really have a right to complain; if this guy's loving up the pasta so bad, it's Bambi's responsibility to do something about it.

Ugh, I'm just mad because the first series was so great and didn't seem to have bullshit like this.

Edit: In Boku Dake ga Inai Machi, the teacher seems a little too obvious at this point. I mean, between his facial expressions last chapter and the fact that he literally has tons of candy in his car, he seems like a red herring. I don't know; I'm kind of hoping it's not him just because it's so obvious.

Bambino chapter 19

Finally someone shuts down Tsuchimiya for being an insubordinate rear end (Bacanale Chef Asuka, Ban's temporary replacement) in the right way, a firm verbal warning that his disrespect will not be tolerated and further outbursts will jeopardize his job. Although now its looking like he gets his own sad sack story so people feel sympathy for him. Something about a woman he lives with milking him for all he's worth, or possibly he's crazy and its a body pillow.

Even Bambi realizes that this plot hasn't gone anywhere.

I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a work of fiction as much as I have with Bambino Secondo so far. The original series was so drat good and Secondo apparently gets even worse than this.

The most recent series on there - Steal and Dead - doesn't have any ecchi/hentai tags. It might just be that the author has only recently been successful enough (either from being better at his job or from editors trusting him more or whatever) to do stuff that isn't just an excuse for fanservice. Oh that's not what I mean, just that they spent the entire chapter beating the poo poo out/cutting up of Windchime and the other girl. Nothing really happened outside of ~Goose~ showing up. It's the weakest chapter in the series so far, in my opinion. But my issue was more that it's felt a bit stagnant for a while outside of the horrifying reveal of Snow White's "immortality". Like the author wants to trickle new information to the readers, but has set the pace badly, so it's less a trickle and more like a slightly leaky faucet

I'm just frustrated that one of my favorite series is dragging its feet a bit. I still love the series and hope for the best. It's similar to people complaining about the Dressrosa arc dragging in the One Piece thread, they just want it to get on with it.

Hopefully you get what I mean, I've not been able to sleep since yesterday so probably not explaining things well.

This is a good way to express your opinion as opposed to "everyone should stop reading this because I don't like it"

Also I assumed you only meant this chapter because the last three chapters were the Snow White stuff and Kenzaki and his crew investigating that, and I didn't think they were especially stagnant or torture porn-ish. I don't think we're going to learn much about what's actually going on with the immortality and people coming from what is presumably a more normal world until they do because it would be pretty stupid for the audience to know what's going on when half the cast is still trying to figure that out

How I stalked some dude with an exposed nipple and stumbled upon the Zenithian Sword isn't actually seinen because it's a webmanga, but I'd say it's seinen-ish and it's got some pretty good combat in it.

Immortal Hounds is pretty stupid (in a way that you may or may not enjoy), but it does have a shitload of over-the-top violence.

Vagabond is about the life and times of Miyamoto Musashi by the author of Slam Dunk; the art is incredible and personally it's one of my favorite manga.

Can anyone who's been reading Billy Bat explain to me what happened leading up to and during the most recent timeskip? As far as I can tell the heroes discovered the cave was a trap, while Timmy's hitmen fell for it; then Kevin Goodman spent the next 15 years looking for Kevin Yamagata's true location, and the fat guy apparently finds him more quickly and works as his disciple. Partly I'm confused because Maggie Momochi appears to have not aged at all over 15 years.

It's a very difficult thing to incorporate into your story with the appropriate amount of sensitivity and it turns out that being a male author whose claim to fame is romanticizing street fights doesn't really qualify you for saying anything meaningful and appropriate about sexual assault
