Barbancourt rums have a distinct rubbery flavor that I actually really favor – it dries out the brown sugar and toffee, which is the first hit you get. I feel like the 15 year mellows the rubber into more a leather or tobacco flavor. I definitely recommend drinking it slowly, and trying to pick apart the flavors so you can ID them. That said, it's possible it's just not your style, but I really like it.
