If that Boston location really is in Boston, I don't see it existing anymore because of the Big Dig. All them green and tower things make me think of the torn down elevated T and 'colosseum' possibly being the old Boston Garden, which is now a parking light. Even Fenway is under construction right now, so who knows.

Takei is Okay posted:I live near Boston, and know a guy who works at the Boston Public Library. I'll run the image and verse past him and see if he has any ideas. I'm about a 5 minute walk from Copley Square if anyone has anything more definite. It's hot as hell out but I'd be down to explore, although I sincerely doubt with all the renovations that have occurred in 31 years that anything buried is still there. jim truds posted:
There was a patina'd copper fountain there 15 years ago if I remember, but it was removed since.

There was nothing in that space before. The Garrison statue is an interesting guess but there's really no space to hide anything there for this many years. Hmm. Aw, hell I'll take a walk down and look at the lamp.

jim truds posted:If anything if the statue is a clue it is part of the path to the treasure. It's jumping over a big part of the verse. There is a pedestrian overpass near here that goes over storrow drive. I suppose I can check that out in a bit E: also by the amphitheater on the Charles River

The place has changed quite a bit in recent years including a recent landscaping but I'll take another look around in a bit after a beer or two.
