In addition to orifice-themed coffee mugs, I make face jugs:

Sandwich, I love your ugly rear end face (it's a compliment I swear) jugs so much.

Thank you, sir. I really like your mugs.

The best part! It's all for sale!

The fish are exceedingly cool. Are those transfers? Freehand? Underglaze on a drat fish? :) (There's a type of Japanese print that's just that, apparently.)

Last semester's soda firing was a huge success!

That's about 12" tall and 17" across, B-Mix fired to just under cone 11 with a D'Arvor kaolin based flashing slip.

Those are looking good... what sort of kiln design is it?

I haven't made anything new in a while, but I'm putting a massive backlog of stuff on the Etsy.

This still needs a bit of work but I've spent a few days half-heartedly continuing the window theme and I'm running out of steam so I'm gonna set it down for a bit. Maybe do a full-scale landscape at twice the size or something for a change

I really like this concept

I painted another oil painting but it's quite glossy and hard to photograph because of that... is there a trick to it?

I run into something similar with gloss glazes. I photograph outside in the shadow of a building. overcast days help. you can play with the angle of the camera and painting to minimize it.

a friend had a really clever setup where he basically made a floor and ceiling out of a long run of white butcher paper, which diffused the overhead lighting.

I've seen someone use a $1 folding plastic basket as a diffuser, too.

but even so

So now I have all these loose leaf things lying around. Normally I work in sketchbooks and those are stored nicely but what the hell to do with all those leafs? How do other dirty hand goons do this?
