I have a question about exporting pictures and videos from an iPad 2 to my PC. When I open the iPad in explorer, the DCIM folder says it contains 1796 files and is 7.85 Gb. After I run the "Import pictures and videos" command from the right-click menu, the resulting folder on my PC has only 1095 files and is 4.62 Gb. When I try to manually copy the folders over from the iPad's DCIM folder (highlighting them all, right-click, copy, paste in new folder on my PC desktop) it says that it will take about an hour, but then cuts off after a few minutes. This method only pulls about 900 megs of media.

Something is not doing exactly what I want it to: copy EVERY picture and video saved on the iPad to a folder on my PC desktop. I don't want to use the synch feature, I'm wanting to make a complete hardcopy backup of all of my memories.

Any ideas?
