I am hired an employee who earns approximately 40k a year in San Francisco. Got a ride with him to lunch this past week and found out he drives a ~$45,000 BMW.

One of my of my relatives a few years ago covered every flight ticket to New York and hotel booking for their son's wedding and I'm very certain that the entire bill reached almost 8 figures. If you are dropping eight figures on a wedding you probably aren't worried about the bill.
