I love my bench crafted mag block http://benchcrafted.com/Magblok.html and would highly recommend them to everyone- looks great and protects ya edge. Shown (forgive the camera phone pic): My yoshikane 240mm wa-gyuto, my baby. I got it about 6-7 years ago for $100- astronomical, but apparently a decent investment as they are now double that. Hand-me-down MAC nakiri and unknown cleaver from my grandfather. Cheap-rear end bread knife.
