A yellow filter makes a huge difference for outdoor scenes, especially with sky in the picture. I did a test series with no filter, a yellow filter, and an orange filter, and while the difference between the yellow and the orange was very subtle, the unfiltered sky was white with only a tiny bit of cloud detail. Don't leave home without one.

I know it's probably sacrilege to post here, but here's a shot from the first roll through my Holga. It's also sacrilege that I didn't develop the B&W myself, but whatever.

Looking at the marks on the right hand side, do folks think that was just lovely processing or maybe an artifact from my camera? There's similar swirls and whatnot on other frames.

Edit: Probably helps to put the Flickr link in.

That definitely looks like it's from processing. Are you sure you used enough liquid? How did you agitate?

Looks like something went wrong while processing

- Did you notice foam in your tank while you were processing it? This could be foam, you need to have film all immersed in liquid.
- Otherwise, it could be an overabundance of stab (do you use it?) in the stab solution. I have to almost halve the quantity of Photoflo they suggest on the bottle otherwise I get similar artifacts.
- Is your water hard? If so, try with softer one.
