By "take out an Ikea" I'm really hoping he just did a full throttle drat-the-torpedoes ramming of the showroom floor while the Blues Brothers theme blared over his PA and not what probably happened which is backing up aggressively into a loading dock or something.

I'm going to bet that most people in Alabama are tooling around on dry-rotted, bald, cheap summer tires because they rarely if ever experience a situation in which traction is limited. It's why rainstorms are such a ridiculous death orgy in California. Little bit of surface water and it's hydroplane city. We have tons of morons in Canada who are tooling around on bald all-seasons but the fact that they can't get out of their driveway for eight months in a row tends to limit their potential damage. e: vvv Yeah there is a definite perception among people who have never driven in a low-traction condition that brakes are always the "save me" button. Snowdens Secret posted:Are there places with actual laws regarding winter tires? I know there are places that mandate chains but that's not exactly going to be in any kind of urban / suburban area. Yes, Quebec mandates them at current. Ze Germans do not mandate them, but I believe you can be found at fault for accidents if you are not running them. Your insurance company probably also gets pissed.

I've already sent out one Prius kill sticker to a goon, if you bring me a confirmed kill of another I will send you one as well. You know you want some of this:

Man I would've just waved one of those magic AC wands into the engine bay until it beeps. I start with the fittings because that's where it leaks. I'd be surprised if finding that leak would take over 30 seconds.

Aren't you practically next door to Mexico? Up here in Canada we put up with bad tacos because they cost $1 on Taco Tuesday. You guys have no excuse.

You pop it out of gear and drop your rpms and then just a bit of clutch you line those gears up to cradle each other in an embrace of tremendous torque. He is risen!

So apparently Swift is installing driver-facing cameras. I hope they'll share the footage with the rest of us. http://justacarguy.blogspot.ca/2015/04/if-you-have-noticed-swift-trucking.html

http://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/trucker-fined-20000-for-pulling-overweight-load-over-damaged-bridge So apparently you can roll almost four times the posted weight capacity over an under-construction, damaged bridge and it still won't collapse.

I can't believe we're teaching Americans about derogatory slurs, much less a racist slur based on a racist slur.
