What’s the number 1 pick make on their rookie contract and how many years before they’re extension eligible? Because if it’s like 3 years $1million total she’ll make 10-20 times that in sponsorships the next year alone. And that’s if fox doesn’t pay her to stay another year (if they can do it).

She will make the sponsorship money either way.

IIRC it was 50-75k/yr on a rookie deal. Clark's making millions off her NIL deals now and all signs point to those deals continuing. Not sure what Sabrina's deal with State Farm pays her but it's not outlandish to assume that Clark will be the highest compensated women's basketball player next year.

This reminds me how, when the Longhorn Network launched in 2011, the University of Texas ended a longstanding relationship with Time Warner Cable in favor of smaller Grande Communications because they carried the channel at launch, unlike TWC.

It also sounds like the relationship was beyond repair with Skip too. I realize plenty of people put up with coworkers they don’t like if the money is good, just look at Adam and Jamie from mythbusters, but I’m not sure Shannon wanted to stay for any money.
Way late on this, but to be fair to Adam & Jamie they had a fine working relationship and just didn't feel like doing stuff together outside of work since they were already spending most of their waking time together between Mythbusters and their actual day jobs.

I could not possibly imagine working with Skip Bayless without wanting to strangle him within 48 hours.

Yeah I should have clarified but you’re right. They were professionals and got along fine for the sake of the show, but I think a lot of people figured everyone on that show were great friends. I think the build team crew was, but I can absolutely see how Adam and Jamie’s personalities would’ve grated on each other off-camera.

The Build Team crew actually did a show together for Netflix that lasted one season, but unfortunately I think Grant Imahara's fatal brain aneurysm happened before they could do a second one.

I think Jaime is largely known to be a very reclusive, standoffish guy so I think he probably just doesn't have a lot of friends in general. And if you are like that Adam Savage is probably the last guy you want to go to dinner with.

Adam's talked about this a fair bit on his YouTube channel. They can work together professionally, and to Jaime's credit he knew he needed a guy like Adam when the concept of Mythbusters was pitched to him, but when the cameras stopped rolling they'd go their separate ways. In fact I don't think they've even seen each other since the show ended, outside of maybe a few professional commitments.

Formula One’s ratings aren’t helped by the actual racing being uncompetitive, what with Max Verstappen more than doubling the point total of second place last year.

Not surprising given how boring F1 is now from a competitive standpoint.

Lifetime should just show up with a bid for those 4 games and simulcast the Ballys Indiana feed.
