VA healthcare is good if:

You don't have a real plan

You don't need to visit a doctor regularly

You don't have a lot of money

Otherwise, you should probably use something else.

It means that you're going to have to apply for regular medical benefits. You'll still have care, it just might not be completely and totally free (note: will probably still be free).
