Is there any mod out there that ever fixed the glass cases not holding anything in the Hearthfire homes? That drives me crazy that I can't store any daggers or anything, and all I can do with those cases is open and close them.

You can place items in the display cases yourself. Standard decoration tips apply: Drop the item on the ground, then exit & reenter the room. Grab the item by holding down the use-key for a moment. Once you've dragged the item where you want it, release it by tapping the use-key.
For more precise item placement you can use these console commands:
GetPos <X,Y,Z>
SetPos <X,Y,Z> <value float>
GetAngle <X,Y,Z>
SetAngle <X,Y,Z> <value float>
Target the item for these commands by clicking on it while the console is open.
Sometimes a SetAngle command doesn't seem to have an affect. If you either grab the item for a moment or do SetPos command, your SetAngle change will be visible.
Also if you use these commands to make an item float, that item will drop down when the area is reloaded.

The hearthfire homes do not have a noreset flag, so if you stay away for a while the interiors will reset and your carefully placed decorations will be ruined. This mod gives them the noreset flag.

If you just want to place a knife or something in the display cases you could try this mod. This will prevent you from putting in items yourself though.

Thanks- the second one is exactly what I was looking for, actually!

So, these are super girly, but I love these "Elven Dresses": http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/39922/

They just look so nice in game!

I've also mentioned them before, but if you're looking for robes or clothing recolors, this person has some nice things for males and females (over in about 3 mods): http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20924/

I stumbled across a kid's clothing replacer that is very nice, for those who care about Hearthfires: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/45642/

I was sick of the old clothes myself.

Don't forget that the woman follower you get does something terrible to herself with the Mace of Molag Bal at the end of that questline! :suicide:

Oh, she doesn't do something terrible to herself- she requests you rape her with the mace. I uninstalled that mod as soon as that became and objective. I hate that mod with a passion. He's also the one who started a Kickstarter for like 50,000 to make the sequel to that quest.

I want to try out the True Daughters of Skyrim mod here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/45453, (NWS pictures) but I have no idea how to install it. I use mod organizer, and there's no "top data" for the mod (I know how to click to find it- it just won't find the data to say "a-ok"!)

I followed some of the instructions that say c&p the directory textures into your "female" folder, except...I don't have one of those? Am I supposed to? I can see the file structure I'm supposed to follow under another mod in Mod Organizer, but I can't find it anywhere on my computer.

Can anyone help?

If you only need to hide them on your character, this mod is pretty much perfect and compatible with any helmet (that doesn't have really strange settings in the armature record, at least) no matter what added it. Although I'll admit I'm a touch biased, in part due to being mentioned in the description for my assistance with a bug fix.

I like this mod as well- the other one is nice if you want to remove all helms and have lots of extras, but sometimes I do want to see my character's helmet, so just pressing "H" is great for me.

I'm doing a clean install and upgrading to the new version of Mod Organizer. Do I need to uninstall the old version first, or can I just fire the exe file for the new version and it will overwrite?

Apparently this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/46465 is supposed to be helping people stop their infinite load screen issues. Can anyone plagued by ILS problems try it out and let us know if it made a noticeable difference? PS if it breaks your game it's not my fault, but it looks like there's enough praise already that it should be safe.

I'm using it, and it's working very well for me. No CTD's on using "showracemenu" or when using the forge or bartering, although some people reported issues with the latter two.

Does anyone know of a blacksmithing mod that will either take out the "do you really want to make this?" part or let you select how many of an item you want to craft? It gets tedious when making arrows, housing materials, or just leveling blacksmithing.

Does CoT just give you darker interiors no matter what? I'm using their vanilla setting, but it seems very, very dark inside now?

Are there any mods that add a library to the game? Not a bunch of bookshelves, but a library with every book in the game? I know there are websites with all the Elder Scrolls book lore, but I think it would be cool if there was a location in the game to pour over every available book.

There's the "Seaside Library" here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32558/

It looks like it has every book?

Since the enb thread is closed, can someone recommend any ENBs that they enjoy? I'm looking for something that doesn't make things too dark- I don't enjoy really dark dungeons.

I have some probably dumb questions about ENB...

Mostly I'm confused about how to put it into my Skyrim file- most ENBs say to put the "wrapper" version. Does the file "wrapper" go into the folder, or do you take all the contents out and put that into the Skyrim file?

The other question is do I need both d3d9 and d3d9injFX files? I'm having trouble switching from one ENB for another as I'm not sure I'm cleaning out all the residual stuff from the previous set up.

I'm sorry if this is so dumb to ask- I'm really new at it.
