Bought this because cheap and I've always wanted Dominions. I have no idea what the hell I am doing. :iia:

I've got the hang of Paradox stuff, Dorf Fort, and Aurora, so I'm sure I'll figure this out.

Holy poo poo I have to revise all the orders twice because there is always one unit which I didn't properly control+click so he just looked as his friends were killed.

I was trying out EA Pangaea yesterday and had this same drat problem with half my armies.

Is Gift of Reason at all useful? I can see it being good for letting you equip an already strong unit with powerful items, but I'm not nearly experienced enough to know a) whether that is true and b) which units would benefit most from it. EA Atlantis, currently.

Okay, I'll steer clear of GoS until I get good enough to mess with such experimentation. Now, another newbie question I'm afraid; I've seen reference to "gemgens" which I presume are gem generators, and I've seen a couple of pretender options who come with that power. I'm not going to say no to free gems obviously, but from the way people talk, I'm inferring that it becomes/can be made more potent than a couple of gems per turn. Am I right here, and if so, what do I do to start generating me some gems in bulk?

e; Also earlier some loving hero type came and set free a load of my blood slaves. I needed those for horrific unholy rituals to establish my unending dominion over the world, you prick :argh:

So does your bless improve as your Pretender's magic does? Like if I start at, say, N5 but get it up to N9 in-game, do I get the effects of the major bless and all from that point on?
