What is the deal with Mac's shirts? I thought I remembered someone saying that McIlhenny's buddy owns a shirt company and he wears them on the show to promote it, is there any truth to that?

I’m not 100% sure on all the shirts, but I remember this story about how a small Colorado brewpub got featured in the show because one of the people who does wardrobe asked him too. Probably a decent amount of shirts are just friendly requests from people near to the show but it might be a one-off. this makes sense bc in one episode, mac is wearing an angels and kings shirt, which was a bar in nyc that my friends and i used to go to all the time. not many people i talked to outside of my usual crew really ever heard of it, but it was partly owned by one of the members of the band fall out boy, and they used to have very small indie bands play acoustic sets there. sometimes a touring indie/rock/emo/whatever band that was playing a normal show at a bigger venue in new york would also do a "secret" small show at angels and kings. the place could hold maybe 60 people total? it was crazy to me to think that rob knew of the bar or was ever there in the few years it was open. i was literally there the last night it was open and then the next day my friend group all texted each other like hey a&k closed down and we were all pretty bummed. so yeah he either knew about it from the time he spent living in/visiting new york, or some crew member had a shirt and wanted him to wear it, which kinda tracks.
