I took a break after the first big arc but I was really enjoying it up to that point it's a fun ride up until chapter 124, when melon shows up. that's when the deterioration starts there's still a lot of decent moments after, but imo the hard cutoff should be chapter 155 (which is also one of the best in the comic's latter half). there's another character introduced a few chapters after that, and while melon is awful she's the real death knell for the entire story unfortunately there's not really a satisfactory "let's stop here" point anywhere like you'd get from hunter x hunter or something
