I never used the parking brake in an auto car unless on a steep hill, and I have never know a single person that does. They all just put the car in park.

In manuals, I tend to rely more on that because of the once-in-a-blue moon factor of starting a car in gear that scares the crap out of me.

So this thread means I can fix my tiny bumper cover ding by getting my oil changed? Good to know.

I have a manual Challenger. I couldn't figure out where the parking brake was at first because I was looking for the lever. "Oh, I have to step on it, the hell?"
