So I guess tomorrow's Invicta card lost a couple fights due to injuries a while back, and then another a couple days ago and one more today right before weigh-ins. They're down to just seven fights on the card. No idea if it's still starting at 9PM ET as originally planned, but it's on Fight Pass tomorrow night.

Here we all were, sitting around thinking Kimbo/Dada was the dumbest fight of the decade. Turns out it wasn't even the dumbest fight of the weekend. So Mitrione came pretty darn close to getting KO'd yesterday (personally I thought Big John could have stopped it when Mitrione crumpled) before coming back and winning, and said after the fight that he had no memory of getting dropped. Bellator has him scheduled to fight Oli Thompson in 3 weeks. I've never liked Mitrione, but for his sake I hope he gets to see a real doctor at some point before that fight.

My dad was really into boxing back in the day, and he always laughs and shakes his head when I suggest that a guy that got run out of Boston by Whitey Bulger (not that Dana was a criminal or anything; it just sounds funnier to describe him that way) and a pair of union-busting casino moguls are probably the least-scummy combat sports promoters of all time. This is some next level poo poo from Bellator though. I don't recall Coker being especially lovely in this particular direction when he was running Strikeforce (though maybe the Showtime people were more involved than the Viacom suits are now?), but especially on the heels of Dada5000 and Kimbo (not to mention that whistleblower's claims about falsified medicals), you'd think they wouldn't be scheduling he-borg so soon after a bad beating, or Mitrione just a few weeks after getting hit so hard he didn't remember getting dropped. Even just for the sake of appearances.
