As I've been hinting, I've barely been watching much UFC this year. Too many cards combined with not enough interest from my friends means that it's been hard to gather up the  to even know when the cards are, let alone care to see them. Also I took on this role to practice more with Excel, and the job I have now has me barely touching a computer. That's been causing me to phone it in and put up forms and results late, and that's not fair to you guys and gal. So here's what I'm going to do: New season will start with the July 19th card, and I'll try my best not to do such a crap job of it this time (NO PROMISES). Unless something spectacular happens to rejuvenate my love of UFC and/or spreadsheets, it'll be my last season as head of the Something Awful Athletic Council. It's been a lot of fun but maaaaaaaaan my heart isn't in it any more. If anyone wants to take over I'm more than happy to show you the templates and how to set them up for each, it only takes about 10 minutes to make a form and about 15-20 to enter the results. It's mostly automated, it just a bit of copy/pasting and it calculates nearly everything for you. See you on Monday, I hope!

Maybe just some text and a screenshot or two. I'm most interested in the submitted data. A cursory glance at google forms site says you can get it in a CSV format. Can you send me a CSV of UFC175 and I'll use that to maybe make a dumb tool?

For whoever ends up running this stuff, I have a request: Since bellator is cutting their number of shows but I think still sticking with their "seasons", could someone do a season with them? Like a b-league goonweight or w/e They don't do fight of the night type stuff so it'd be pretty much the current poo poo without the OTNs.

This may actually be a good time because I just finished some stuff at work and unless some sales people act quicker than I expect them to (they won't) I may just have a meeting or two but otherwise able to maybe make something to take all the accounting labor out of this. I just thought I'd help make it easy for scoring and whatnot. The way it should work when I'm done. 1)Choose a season. 2)Import CSV file. Scores get automatically calculated. 3)You can then view rankings for overall season or per event. Maybe even a cool button to generate the BBCode with scores etc. So if you want to manage it by all means go for it. I don't want to sound lazy but.....I don't want to manage it. In fact if you want to be "the commissioner" or whatever when this is done I'll send it to you for evaluation. Should possibly be done tomorrow.
