I liked Elizabeth, it was probably Schmidt's last chance to re-learn organically how to be an human being. If they break up (which is probably inevitable because of his current douchebag actions) I fear they'll make him go Barney (from HIMYM): single until it stops being funny and then create a reason for character growth from thin air.
